The New Zealand Formulary
In July 2012, the New Zealand Formulary (NZF) was launched. The NZF is an independent resource of clinically validated medicines information and guidance on best practice. It is easy to use and is updated monthly, enabling healthcare professionals to select safe and effective medicines for individual patients.
The NZF is adapted for New Zealand from the British National Formulary and contains:
- Comprehensive and concise medicines information
- Reputable, robust, and up-to-date information
- PHARMAC and Medsafe information
- Stockley’s interactions and BNF interaction summaries
Visit www.nzf.org.nz(external link) for more information and add it to your favourites if you haven’t done so already. The NZF has links directly to SafeRx bulletins and patient information guides for selected medicines.
